We will be hosting a Soccer 5 v 5 Tournament on December 6, 2014 at Kendall Soccer Park.  This tournament is made for everyone.  It doesn't matter if you are a professional with years of experience or if this is your first time kicking a soccer ball.  You are already a winner as your team registration fee is a donation to support Special Olympics.
Here are just a few ways to participate:

  • Registering a team to play in the tournament
  • Becoming a volunteer to help out in various ways
  • Having your company sponsor the registration fee for our athletes
  • Making a donation or having your company donate products for our raffle
  • Making a contribution to assisting your team or individual reach his/her goal
  • Assisting to coach at our clinic that will be given for FREE to all Special Olympics athletes
  • Coming to the tournament and cheering on our athletes as its fun for the entire family

We will have various divisions including one where finally the parent will be able to participate with his or her child and play on the same team.  This will be our Unified division which means people with and without disabilities playing on the same team.  The festivities will culminate with a Unified Celebrity match where our Special Olympics ambassadors will play on the same team as our athletes.  Your donation (100% of the proceeds) goes directly to Special Olympics.  If you have never attended an event, we can tell you that you will always remember your first Special Olympics experience because when you spend time with our athletes, you fall in love with the movement and what it stands for.

This is why we are hosting this unique tournament.  Not only will we showcase how amazing our athletes are, but we will continue the vision of our founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver, for people to live in a more unified society in sport, in the community, and in the work place by committing acts of inclusion, acceptance and unity for and with people with intellectual disabilities.  Special Olympics is providing opportunities for more than 4 million athletes, 1 million volunteers and millions more people worldwide through 220 Accredited Special Olympics Programs in more than 170 countries.
